This is where it all began!
When my family and I returned from living in Australia, we brought with us a striking stained glass Queensland lamp, but with the long journey back to the UK all the soldering and leadwork began to pull apart. I could not find any repair shop or craftsman with the skill set to renovate it back to life, so in 2013 I signed up to an Adult Education Evening Class and under tuition, took the lamp apart and built it back together.
I was being increasingly drawn to this place of solitude where design, ideas and creative energy brings such freedom and joy.
Within four years of evening classes I created many different glass objects to be given away to friends and sold at Christmas fairs. This all coincided with my children spreading their wings and leaving home and a break in my career as a Primary school teacher. The constant challenge of creativity in the educational environment, coupled with many years living overseas and teaching in different cultures became a rich palette to continue exploring the art and craft of stained glass.
The Gulf Stream
In 2019, I was encouraged to enter the Stevens Competition an international annual event run by the London Worshipful Company of Glaziers to recognise an Architectural Artist of the Year.
I received a prize for 3rd place and won the commission to create a window for the new Proton Beam Therapy Unit at UCHL: The Gulf Stream Artwork was installed on the Lower 3rd Floor of The Grafton Way Building at UCHL in 2021.

To the Tower...
In 2022 I was invited to assist Max & Dawn at Max Jacquard Glass Studio in making their Glass Installation for the Queen’s Jubilee in the Tower of London.
The future is bright.
My life is now based in The Cotswolds where I live with my husband Peter and close to grown up children and grandchildren. We have a studio dedicated to glass making where I plan to continue passing on the skills and sharing my passion for accompanying others on this wonderful, mysterious and ancient art and craft of stained glass.
